The major part of these drawings of nude figures were made in 1938.
After having seen this series of nudes, Louis-Ferdinand Céline suggested Eliane Bonabel that she should draw some dancers of the Waker Academy of Dance in Paris during dance lessons given by Lucette Almansor (She became the wife of Celine in 1943), the great ballerina and dance teacher.
Thanks to Gen Paul (The last great French Expressionist and friend of L-F Celine), who took dancers as models for his paintings, Celine will discover this place.
